SUPERVISION

Supervision that prepares you for the work that actually matters.

If you’re an associate licensed LCSW (LCSWA) in North Carolina or a provisionally licensed LCSW (APSW) in Wisconsin** working toward full licensure, finding the right supervisor changes everything — not just for your hours, but for the kind of clinician you become.

Beth McErlean brings over a decade of real-world social work experience — across child protective services, community health, case management, and private practice — to supervision that is honest, warm, and deeply grounded in trauma-informed practice.

**Supervision in Wisconsin is virtual only**
SUPERVISION OPTIONS

Individual & group supervision available
I offer two formats to meet NC Social Work licensure supervision requirements for provisionally licensed LCSWs. Both are conducted virtually via HIPAA-compliant video platform

Individual supervision: One-on-one supervision tailored entirely to your caseload, your growth areas, and your path to full LCSW licensure in NC. Flexible scheduling · Deep case focus · Counts toward NC and WI licensure hours.

Group supervision:

A small-group format combining case consultation, peer learning, and professional development. More affordable than individual · Small cohort · Counts toward NC and WI licensure hours.

Contact Beth to discuss current availability, fees, and scheduling for both formats.
WHAT YOU'LL GET

Supervision built around real clinical growth.

Trauma-informed practice: Developing a trauma lens across all your clinical work — not just trauma-identified cases.

CBT & ACT application: Practical support integrating evidence-based modalities into your sessions.
Ethics & professional standards: Navigating ethical dilemmas, documentation, and NASW standards confidently.
Self-care & countertransference: Recognizing and managing vicarious trauma and burnout before they affect your clients.
Licensure readiness: Structured documentation and hour tracking to keep your path to full LCSW licensure on track.
WHY BETH

A supervisor who has done the work.

Beth’s career spans child protective services, community health, case management, and private practice, as well as MSW and BSW academics — giving her a breadth of real-world experience most supervisors can’t match. Her dual background — MSW alongside a Master’s in Criminal Justice — gives her a distinctive lens on forensic cases, high-conflict family systems, and clients involved in the legal system.

“Good supervision changes not just how you practice — but how you see yourself as a clinician.”
